Spring lingers on my lips
after the first kiss, complete
my skin awakens from winters  sleep
carressed where your eyes meet

hope blossoms
where fear once reigned
alone no more
shouts my soul so bruised

tendrils of happiness spring
from the stalk of that newly planted seed
sowed oh so carefully
making sure of my every need

slowly the days pass into weeks
and  strength returns to my heart
open so fully where you dared
to tear it apart.
